
GLAD Law Answers Intern Summer 2025
The Communications & Public Education Department is looking for an intern to assist GLAD Law Answers, GLAD Law’s legal helpline, in helping share confidential legal information, assistance, and referrals with LGBTQ+ and HIV-positive community members.
Typical projects may include but are not limited to:
‣ Making and responding to calls, emails, mail, and other communications from community members
‣ Entering, tracking, and reporting intakes within GLAD Law Answer’s database
‣ Attending community events, such a Name Change and other Know Your Rights events
‣ Some data entry and administrative tasks
‣ Maintaining and updating GLAD Law Answers and other Know Your Rights materials (will be guided)
‣ Professional development opportunities
Qualifications
‣ Should have a strong desire to make contributions to the LGBTQ+ and HIV-positive communities and preferably have some experience in an office setting.
‣ The ability to complete self-directed projects is necessary
‣ Strong organizational, research, and communications skills are required
‣ Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with a team are critical
‣ Excellent time management skills
‣ Public speaking or outreach experience and interest
No prior legal experience is required, interest in public interest law and community support work is a plus
Compensation & Location
Stipends of up to $3,000 are available for interns who meet minimum hour requirements. Interns have an expected start date in May and end date in August. This internship can be in-person or hybrid.
