Internship Description

The Employer Education Intern will support the Member Account Management Team in developing and delivering an education program for employers who participate in the Massachusetts State Employees Retirement System (MSERS).  The goal of the program is to provide educational resources and webinars to support use of the Employer Self-Service Portal (ESS), guidelines for MSERS membership and reporting of demographic and financial data, and documentation and information for onboarding new employees as members of MSERS.

Internship Duties

  • Attending internal new hire training to gain a solid understanding of high-level business processes and transactions.
  • Conduct outreach to employers to inform and target the contents of the program.
  • Update existing ESS instructional materials with guidance from the MSRB Member Account Management Team
  • Gather existing and create supplemental material for employer use in onboarding new employees
  • Assist in scheduling webinars and creating content for presentations and electronic newsletters.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products, including OneDrive, Teams, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint and Microsoft Forms
  • Excellent research skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail; proficient in proofreading

 Work Schedule:

The internship program will allow you to work Monday through Friday (except for holidays) for a minimum of 15 hours to a maximum of 37.5 hours a work week from June to August over a 10-week timeframe. You must also be able to travel to the Boston Office location a minimum of 1-2 times a week based on your work schedule. 

Compensation:

The hourly pay for high school interns will be $18/hour ($2,100/intern); for undergraduate interns $20/hour ($2,700/intern); for graduate interns $22/hour ($3,300/intern).
