Marketing and Communications Intern



Position Title: Marketing and Communications Intern
Reports To: Manager of Marketing and Communication
Paid Internship- Hourly Rate $18/per hr
Schedule:10-20 hours per week M-F (June 5th- August 11th, 2023)


Commonwealth Corporation is looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting various departments. You will be working closely with our marketing and communications team to conduct research, capture data, create marketing materials, and attend meetings.
To be successful as an Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for a well-known community-based organization.
Example Projects Include planning, writing, and managing monthly eNewsletter, managing graphic and video design campaigns, organizing press events, and more.
Intern Responsibilities
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
  • Prepare detailed promotional presentations.
  • Assist with daily administrative duties.
  • Assist with the design of flyers, graphics, e-invites, and other marketing material for webinars/events hosted by CommCorp
  • Assist with updating the CommCorp website when needed
  • Assist with organizing and attending monthly marketing meetings with various teams
  • including preparing agenda and taking minutes
  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and

Intern Requirements
  • A college student or recent graduate- enrollment in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a passion for marketing.
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities.
