 Intern Opportunity – Industrial or Mechanical Engineer at Munters, Amesbury MA

Munters has been defining the future of air treatment since 1955.  
                
Assisting the operations team, our manufacturing engineers main goal is to to develop, implement, monitor and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow for assigned area(s). Our products focus on energy efficiency, to protect the environment, save money and improve productivity. The intern will join the Engineering team in a multidisciplinary role. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to contribute to projects. This position will expose the intern to many aspects of manufacturing processes, documentation, SOP development, and manufacturing in a fast paced production facility. 
 
What You Will Learn:
  • An understanding of process manufacturing and production process flows
  • Manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing, including the revision of drawings, BOM, accurate work instructions and workmanship standards and process procedures. 
  • Training with the Operations Team in the of operation and functionality of equipment 
  • Learn the operation of CNC equipment
  • Much more – you will work closely with our Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer and other cross functional departments including team leaders.
 
What We Require:
  • Mechanical Engineering student in college or graduate program.
  • A high level of interest in Engineering, Manufacturing and Document Control.
  • A working knowledge of writing Standard Operating Procedures a plus
  • Highly organized with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills.
 
 
 
The position begins October 18, 2021 and ends on or before May 2, 2021. You will be expected to work a minimum of 24 hours a week, and will be paid $18.00/hour. Hours can be worked around your class schedule. No health benefit package will be offered. Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
