Operations & Warehouse Intern

Role Summary

The Operations & Warehouse Intern supports REON’s day-to-day logistics, inventory, warehouse, and general business operations. This hands-on role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, maintains accurate inventory records, prepares products for delivery, and assists with a variety of cross-functional operational projects. It is well suited for a student or recent graduate seeking practical experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, and business operations.

 

Schedule & Location

  • On-site position in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
  • Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Hourly paid internship.
  • Opportunity for full-time position based on performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Shipping

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including packing, labeling, staging, and basic shipping documentation.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, condition, and supporting records.
  • Track shipment status and help resolve routine delivery or receiving issues.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and product location tracking.
  • Coordinate the movement of products, materials, and accessories between the warehouse and internal teams.
  • Assist with documenting and improving warehouse procedures and standard operating practices.

General Business Operations

  • Support document organization, office logistics, and other operational projects as assigned.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Engineering to support day-to-day business needs.

 

Qualifications

  • Interest in operations, logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a reliable work ethic.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel and other basic office software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
  • Prior warehouse, shipping, or inventory experience is helpful but not required.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently; heavier items require team lifting or mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to push, pull, and position equipment on wheels.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform hands-on work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with freight carriers, shipping coordination, inventory systems, or warehouse operations.
  • Forklift certification is a plus, but not required.
