Quality Engineering Intern


Job Description

Quality Engineering Intern 
Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking a motivated Quality Engineering Intern to support our Front-End Manufacturing Quality efforts. This internship offers valuable exposure to quality management systems, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work on impactful projects that enhance product quality and operational efficiency, while developing your technical and professional skills.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Lead and/or collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on continuous improvement projects

 Support quality improvement initiatives and assist in implementing Quality Management System (QMS) processe

Participate in problem-solving teams and contribute to technical reports and documentation

Gain knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality standards

Present technical findings and accomplishments to engineering and management teams, including a capstone presentation


Minimum Qualifications Education

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline

Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and/or device physics is preferred

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus

Exposure to problem-solving tools such as 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, or Fishbone analysis is beneficial 

Must be a US Citizen 

Proven leadership and effective oral communication skills 

An understanding of root cause corrective action (RCCA) 

Understanding of Quality Management Systems: ISO9001, AS9100, and other related systems 

Able to deal with multiple issues simultaneously and have the awareness of setting priorities. 

Must have good Engineering skills regarding machining, tolerancing, reading source control drawings and general electrical engineering skills. 

Ability to implement problem solving plans by applying pareto, cause and effect, FMEA, control plans, or utilizing other tools resulting in producing high quality products.
