Intern - HR/Talent Acquisition

WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions to customers and communities supported by our team of 2,100 employees. We believe in preserving our environment for future generations while providing for today's needs. WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.
We currently have an HR and Talent Acquisition Internship position at our Corporate office in Portsmouth, NH. The Intern will interact with and conduct various duties and responsibilities for the HR and Talent Acquisition team. The Intern will participate in various assignments, initiatives and projects that will provide the applicant with the opportunity to develop new skills, learn new areas and collaborate with different groups across the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition team on ongoing projects.
  • Assist recruiting team with a variety of projects and tasks relating to talent acquisition goals.
  • Participate in a HR rotation for all functional areas and work on key project deliverables
  • Manage deliverables and provide regular updates

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in accredited college/university Bachelor's degree program. 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as complete individual tasks
