Inside Sales Internship

Job Summary/ Primary purpose of this position:
 
The Inside Sales Intern will conduct market research and develop a detailed database of end users by customer segment to support the regional and national sales teams. This individual will have an opportunity to work with many departments including, sales, commercialization, and product development. They will reach out to distributors and brokers to better understand the market and develop recommendations for product placements in those markets.

Inside Sales Specialist
 
Essential Functions:

Develops and maintains a detailed database of end users by channel and region
Develops deep knowledge of Joseph’s product offering and capabilities
Analyzes regional restaurant trends and highlights opportunities and gaps
Disseminates marketing materials that will help bring awareness, drive new and repeat
sales of specific products and product concepts to targeted customer segments within
foodservice.
Analyzes customers and categorizes them by their potential
Determines gaps and opportunities and directly follows up with these customers and customer groups to address their needs
Produces detailed, polished customer facing communications
Produces concise, informative updates for the executive management team
Possesses a high degree of comfort proactively reaching out to customers via phone, email and social media
Other duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
 
Detail oriented with very strong organizational skills
Comfortable with large data sets and able to draw inciteful analysis and conclusions from that data
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office or comparable products
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal or written form. 
Able to deal with multiple variables and imperfect data sources.
 
Education Required:
 
Student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
 
Minimum Experience Required:

Entry Level, Intern
