Accounting Internship
Job Summary/ Primary purpose of this position:
The Accounting Internship will have a focus on Accounts Receivable with the opportunity to learn about other aspects of the finance department such as cost accounting and inventory control. This role is responsible for ensuring that invoices are paid on time, customer accounts are audited, and deductions are reviewed and posted in a timely manner. This role interfaces both with management as well as other team members in the finance department.

Accounting Supervisor
Essential Functions:
Reviews customer balances to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
Contacts customers regarding past due balances via portals, email, or phone calls.
Obtains backup for any deductions taken on payment remittances.
Researches deductions and validates the backup by reviewing programs in place or obtaining appropriate approval as needed.
Posts credit memos on a daily basis.
Assists with month end close activities.
Additional tasks as assigned for cost accounting and inventory controls aspects of the business.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Broad understanding of all accounting functions
Broad understanding of Accounts Receivable and customer relationships.
Broad understanding of manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of Navision Dynamics or other ERP packages.
Intermediate excel skills required; must understand formula construction, pivot tables, data types.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to handle customer interactions via phone calls or email.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal or written form.
Education Required:
Currently working on higher education degree.
Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Must be very skilled in Microsoft Office Application.
