SUMMARY
Nexamp is seeking an Intern to work within our Marketing team. This role will help support Nexamp’s growing Community Solar program that covers multiple geographic markets and thousands of customers. This is a 10-12 week summer internship requiring 40 hours per week with a possible part-time extension during the school year. The intern will work with a dedicated, cross-departmental team based in our Boston, MA headquarters, and is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual with an interest in marketing, data analytics, and consumer climate technology. Although an interest in renewable energy is desired, experience in this field is not a requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, frame, develop, and launch various analytical projects to help drive better outcomes for various stakeholders in the Marketing organization
- Gain a solid understanding of the underlying principles behind marketing, data analysis, and the Nexamp business model
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to deliver insights and recommendations that help drive acquisition/awareness through all marketing channels (Social media, digital platforms, direct mail, customer outreach, in-person marketing)
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, and a team player.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including comfort using Excel and/or manipulating large and diverse data sets. Experience writing basic queries in SQL or a willingness to learn is highly desired.
- Prior experience creating presentation decks and dashboards. Experience or exposure to modeling in a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc) is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platform is helpful but not required.
